| This is the "fully orchestrated", second part of John David Thomas's "Love Flowers: Reflections and Meditations on Beauty and Truth", composed by Mr. Thomas for Edmonds United Methodist Church, and their Chamber Orchestra, which performed John's music with John at the piano in the year, 1990, conducted by Daniel Hibbit, the Music Director (and Music Minister) of the church in that northwestern suburb of Seattle, Washington. All of the instrumental sounds on this track are played from a keyboard and one or more electronic modules (such as Kurzweil K2000) by Mr. Thomas. The sytle of this music is serene, beautiful, lyrical, romantic music, that is moderately slow...it is primarily "monophonic" as musical styles go, but is "state-of-the-art" stereo, with regard to the "hi-fi" DIGITAL recording, which this is...this was recorded on Alesis ADAT 16-track digital recorders, and mixed to 2-track stereo on TASCAM DAT recorders | MP3.com CD: POTPOURRI: Music for the World - buy it!

| Beautiful, melodic, lyrical, contemporary classical music, sacred and serene, pastoral; this is part 1 of 2 parts, and features a solo cello accompanied by an orchetra (actually, all of the instrumental sounds, though totally realistic, are produced by a synthesizer--a Kurzweil K2000, and other modules). The intro was recorded using "steel-string acoustic guitar" sounds. | Bold, brazen, aggressive, dissonant, futuristic, classical "theater-rock" music composed by John David Thomas in 1970, while just 19 years old...this music was definitely at least 20 years ahead of its time...maybe 40 years ahead of its time!!...this is what rock and roll music would sound like if it was composed by Igor Stravinsky, John says...it has several flavors (influences)...a combination-feel of Stravinsky, Zappa, and even a George Martin-Beatles production (like on Magical Mystery Tour)...this music uses multiple-time-meters (9/8 against 4/4 in the middle section), and has multitudes of percussion instruments, 2 drummers, 8 trumpets, and is supposed to have, (someday), a big French Horn section...but that is another story!...John performed his "theater-rock" work live at Ball State University in Emens Auditorium, BSU, Muncie, Indiana in March 1972 with the vocals done by the Ball State U. Singers at their "SPEC '72" SPECTACULAR, which was...spectacular!! This music by John (D of R&R) won high acclaim and a rave review/comment by the Ball State Daily News music critic following two sell-out performances by John, the musicians, and the University Singers at Ball State U.!
