	Story Behind the Song This original, fresh, contemporary music composition for solo piano by COMPOSER/pianist/producer JOHN DAVID THOMAS, a graduate of Ball State University, was "spontaneously" conceived, created, and composed by him as he sat at the grand piano in his residence where he has lived from 1991-2002 in the Indianapolis, Indiana area on the far northside in the "Carmel" area (1 block E, 1 block N of 98th & Keystone)...it was recorded by the composer in 2001 in "one take", done totally "live" with no overdubs or splicing...a "live mix", also...it came "into being" during an exceptionally creative period for the composer of 1999-2002...he has had several major creative periods in his lifetime, having been composing music since the age of 9, and having played the piano since age 5...he has a degree in Music Theory & Composition from Ball State University, where he studied music composition with 4 composers on the music faculty there at BSU: Dr. Ernesto Pellegrini ( a graduate of Julliard School of Music, New York City, NY and a prominent composer of avant-garde/serial "12-tone" music), Dr. Cleve Scott (composer from California, who studied with a famous composer himself...he is an "electronic music" genius composer, and is nationally known at the collegiate level as the former director of the Ball State "New Music Ensemble", and was responsible for the creation and management of Ball State's "Electronic Music Studio" where John David Thomas did his undergraduate music composing from 1972-1975 on the ARP 2500 studio synthesizer (a $ 14,000 synth!!)...John also studied music composition with Morris Knight (avant-garde genius composer) and David Foley, who composed an opera!! Well, enough about the music background of this contemporary composer...read about him in "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in the World", current editions of year 2002, and selected for the 2003 editions of these prestigious reference books, also...available at your public library Reference section!
