Live from the Viper bar on March 17, 2002. My good friends (and rock band extraordinaire) Machinery Hall headlined the show, and they asked me to introduce them with a little numbah...a full studio version is coming soon to this site, with the less well known (and more poignant) second verse. |

"Frondi tenere" is what's known as the recitativo, or "acting" in Italian. I did this part a cappella because there was no accompaniment with it, then the aria proper starts with symphonic support.
Almost always listed as "The Largo from Handel's Xerxes"...Lisa Gerard from Dead Can Dance has an excellent version recorded. |
