Believe it or not, I dreamed the melody of this song after Daniel Elroy Evans Jr., an old friend of mine, died in 1998, so you could say the song is dedicated to him. Some of the lyrics are inspired by a very mystical chapter from the Quran, Al-Kahf (The Cave), which (I think) discusses how the will of God can seem unfair to us. If Dan could talk to me now, he would probably say: "Weird!" |
