Story Behind the Song
This is the only song on this CD that was written as a collaboration of band members. It began as a 6\8 time conga beat, working title "Latin Planet." It went through several changes until this arrangement happened. The Arabic lyrics are derived from the book "Kalimat Maknun al-Baha'u'llah" (The Hidden Words Of Baha'u'llah).
Lyrics
Ya ibn ar-ruhe fi awal al-qawl
Emlek qaliban jiyyidan hosnan moniran
Letemalek malkan dayyan baqiyyan azlan qadiman
(O Son Of Spirit! Posses a pure kindly and radiant heart, that thine will be a kingdom ancient, pure, and everlasting.)
If you are the pure of heart
Your soul will last forever
If you are impure of heart
You fail in each endeavor
Forget the world
The hearts that are impure
Detach from worldly vanity
The kingdom will endure.
Wallace: vocal, violin, bozouki. Dan: bass. Kirk: drums. Ray: congas.
