This song sounds a little beatleish, at least the bass does. It has been a very popular song in Europe. |

This song started from a riff, then a play on words became the title and the song. It's just an alter view point to success. It's an ideal which I would imagine any really successful band would have a hard time living up to. |

this is a long song, its the epitaph for youth, thinking you own the world, also it fits the world as current, a lot of people are growing up in a tough world for a lot of reasons that start with home and country. The symbalism of american pie is just that, it is not reflective of the US but rather it is a phrase which most people can relate to. |

This is a blues song and it does well in a live setting.Although I don't own a strat, really don't play a strat, I have to confess I wrote this song with a strat in my hand. I wonder in that case if tone affected the composition. This song went through a number of word and title changes. I was very reluctant to include the word Baby in it because of all the bad hype that songwriting books try to lay on us. In the end I thought of the words to another song, "Baby, Baby, don't get hooked on me" so after that I said to hell with the songwriting rules.
Royce Kletke played guitar on this song as well and did a real nice first guitar solo. |

With a riff, a song that just about everyone can identify with unless you're a self made man or woman. Royce Kletke played guitar and sang on this song as well. Thanks Royce, we once had a good band. |

A very strange song to put together, incredibly hot when I wrote it, couldn't remember the chord structure with the words so it took a lot of practice, I liked the way the words flowed and when it was finished I thought it sounded kind of like ELO. I entered this one into the International Songwriting Competition.

Started off with the beginning guitar part and the words Thick of It. Started to come together then I realized what the title meant to me, basically don't take any crap, not necessarily a fight but stand up for what you are, especially against the attitude guys out there. The bullies are the 'Little Big Boys with their Daddy's toys" |

Vocals could have been recorded better on this song, the song has so many words so quickly that pure oxygen might have helped the vocal delivery. |

This is a song which I used to play live a lot. The riff part is lots of fun to do as a group. I don't do lead during riff part when playing live, the interaction between the guitar, bass and drums is enough. |

This song examines the issue of the Dream Makers, that is, the ones that steal the dreams away from people who are naive. By the time they are 30 their dreams have died. I suggest you listen with headphones, the soundscape is very interesting. |
