ENDLESS DREAM
Endless Dream original lineup (circa 1995 - l to r: Brian Howell, Damon Savich, Frank Guiles, Bob Brady)
These tracks are fairly new to the official "ENDLESS DREAM" site at MP3.COM. They are definitely not mixed for play with the "Lo Fi" preview link. Use it to get an idea, but download the songs if you really want to hear them the right way. For now, enjoy them and check back from time to time to hear more tracks from the forthcoming "Forgotten Son" CD Release.
Coming together in late 1999 as Seizure 69, Damon Savich and Jim Abercrombie put together a 10 song demo over a period of a few days. Other obligations kept the project from getting off the ground, but the two have resurrected the theatrical concept for Endless Dream. Damon Savich had originally formed Endless Dream with bassist Brian Howell in California back in 1995. Now residing in Northwestern Florida and Southern Alabama, Damon, Ab, and Brian are currently recording tracks for "Endless Dream: Forgotten Son". Tracks found here are exclusive to MP3.com and currently available only on the D.A.M. CD.

This song is an anthemic examination of the thin line between "Pleasure and Pain". The first half of the song was originally intended to be a female vocal, told from the standpoint of a newlywed wife. "I am your pleasure" is the catchline. In the second half, tragedy rears his head and the illusion of security and a perfect world is shattered. The end result (last verse) shows how quickly pleasure can turn to pain; love to lies; and commitment to abandonment and suffering. Jim Abercrombie's guitar work on this one is excellent, and Damon's trademark vocal stylings drive its tragic story home with a vengeance. Heavy Industrial drums by Mike Shiver and the "aloof" bass of Brian Howell punctuate the track effectively. |

A strong indictment of a society which allows our inner cities to become war zones. "Black On Black" examines not only a particularly ugly part of inner-city violence, but the causation. It's "heavy" in more ways than one! |

This one is in the developmental stages, and Endless Dream invites you to eMail with your input on the direction the song is taking. The beautiful Arban Ornelas was the inspiration behind this one (see photo button). Should we add layered rhythm guitar tracks? Keyboards? Anyway, it will be a chunky bit of riff-wrath when it's finished. Of that fact we're sure. |
