Artist description
Two veteran performers from moderately successful, touring and recording bands, DAMON SAVICH and JIM ABERCROMBIE find themselves at a crossroads. Versatility and lifelong friendship have become the unifying roots which bind them together. Though DAMON has played a wide range of musical styles and genres, in many different ensembles, he has a very unified and distictive sound. While reminiscent of the Bob Ezrin school of elaborate and heavy production acts of the late seventies (Pink Floyd, KISS, Alice Cooper), Endless Dream (formerly Seizure 69) also calls to mind the more progressive stylings of the heavier acts of the early eighties (Queensryche, Scorpions, Judas Priest). At the center of Endless Dream are sombre lyrical and poetic overtones found in the best of today's top alt-rock and Darkwave acts (The Tea Party, Tool, Soundgarden, Garbage, Marilyn Manson). Endless Dream approaches each song as a different scenario, and each has it's own distinct mood and storyline/theme. |

Artist History
Vocalist/frontman Damon Savich and Guitar wizard Jim (Abling) Abercrombie are longtime friends and have enjoyed each other's gift for songwriting since the early 1980's, though this incarnation of Endless Dream represents the first time the two have collaborated to write and produce music in the course of their sixteen-plus year association. |

Group Members
DAMON SAVICH -As a founding member of several progressive-metal acts from 1882 - 1995 (SLASHER, ISCARIOT, Forever's End, MINDCAGE, Seizure 69, and Endless Dream), Damon has paid his proverbial "dues", both in the studio and via live performance. Opening shows for the likes of FATES WARNING, KIX, QUIET RIOT, SAVATAGE, DREAM THEATRE, and Mr. Bungle over the years, Damon Savich drew upon his love of showmanship and theatrical aspects of performance. For many years he rehearsed his music at the infamous HUN SOUND Rehearsal Studios in Northern California, with Metallica, Greg Allman, Carlos Santana, Journey, and Night Ranger, among others. Constructing elaborate costumes, full-face makeup, and wielding an arsenal of pyrotechnics and lighting effects (to different degrees with each act), he found lyrical inspiration in the writings of Edgar Allen Poe, Manly P. Hall, and Kahlil Gibran and is a member of the San Francisco Philosophical research Society. His Vocal stylings are most often compared to Geoff Tate of Queensryche and other prog-rock heavies, though he would prefer to be likened to his longtime vocal heroes, Rob Halford (Judas Priest, Fight, Two) and Ronnie James Dio (Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio)."My first band, SLASHER, formed a full year before Queensryche hit the scene,..." says Savich, "...and though I do appreciate Tate's vocal style, any similarity to my own would have to come from the fact that we both drew upon similar inspiration. I don't think I sound like him at all." ~~ JIM ABERCROMBIE - This versatile axeman has been playing and writing music for the guitar for well over twenty years. "Abling" as he is called by his friends, was instrumental in the recording of one of Damon's first SLASHER recordings way back in 1983. He was the engineer of the band's first demo, and during that time period, he and Damon did collaborate to write a song titled "Trilogy". This song was later recorded by Jim and his first recording act, "KROSS". With this highly polished act, Abling followed a similar course to Savich, by opening shows for Fates Warning, Anthrax, Cacophony (Jason Becker & Marty Friedman), and many other "heavy metal" acts of the day. "We opened for the same people on the same tours,..." he says, "..But Damon was out in the San Francisco Bay Area by this time, and we were hitting the Gulf Coast." As both became weary of the endless gigging and excesses of playing in "Heavy Metal" outfits, Jim found himself turning toward a more bluesy and melodic style of play, forming a band called "MAMAHEAD" in the early nineties. MAMAHEAD travelled to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995 to play a special series of showcase gigs with Damon's theatrical/hard rock band, (the original) ENDLESS DREAM. Ironically, Damon's younger brother, Markus Daimeion, also played the shows with his band FOREVER'S END. Damon Savich had once been the vocalist with FOREVER'S END, and Markus was previously Abling's singer with KROSS. "It all comes full-circle." says Ab. Jim's melodic and smooth guitar stylings draw many Pink Floyd comparisons, and his gift for arranging great music make him a perfect complement for Damon Savich and his lyrical musings. Together they have made SEIZURE 69 and now ENDLESS DREAM music worthy of more than just a casual listen. While players from their mutual arsenal of musicians are currently involved in the recording of ENDLESS DREAM's album, "FORGOTTEN SON", the lineup for the band is undergoing changes. The band hopes to release the album by mid March, 2002. |
