All of the songs posted at this site can be heard in different
versions at the site of my band, Oyster Lucy. These were posted for purely
archival (and of course, egotistical) reasons. If you like OL and want to
know how many of the band's songs started out in life, or if you are simply
an Oyster Lucy "completist" this site is for you.
During the 1980s and 1990s I was a particiapant in what
was know as "The Cassette Underground." (Actually, I was a few
feet beneath the underground.) These songs are from that period of my musical
life. Sure, the sound quality isn't much on some of these tunes, but I still
stand by them as good songs--and that's what's important.
To hear how these songs were transformed and revitalized
by the presence of two incredibly talented and creative musicians, visit
the Oyster
Lucy mp3.com site.
And while you're going places why not visit my instrumental and
vocal
music sites? You'll be glad you did and so will I.

Almost a blues song, except I don't really care for blues (except for those wonderful old Harry Smith field recordings). Everything falls down--that's what this song is about--or is it? |
