Hello, and welcome to my vocal music site. Creating music is an act of pure joy for me, and it is a pleasure to be able to share that joy with you. I have also put up a site at mp3.com featuring my instrumental music, and another featuring The Bachs of Dirt, an improvisational noise band of which I am a member. You can access both via my "links" page. If you still want to know more about the person behind this music, clicking the picture to the left will take you to my Tripod website. So welcome to my world. I hope your stay will be pleasant and memorable. NEW!!! I have been playing around with Adobe Illustrator lately and have created some lyric sheets for my songs. I've never thought of myself as anyting of a visual artist, but I think these came out pretty cool. Is it art? Go check them out in my photo gallery and decide for yourself.

This song came to me during a late-night walk around the suburbs west of Boston--it was a very lysergic evening.

1986 was a troublesome and tumultuous year for me. This was the only actual song I wrote that year. On a completely unrelated topic, this tune was written and recorded on the day the Challenger space shuttle blew up. So sad that all those people had to die for Ronald Reagan's ego. This song is obviously about an evil person--maybe I had Reagan in mind when I wrote it.

So there I was trying to make music that sounded African, singing aobut a tiger, wich doesn't actually live in Africa. What was I thinking. The idea came from an interview I read with Carlos Castaneda in YOGA JOURNAL. His advice for what to do when we feel anger coming on was to step aside and "let the tiger pass."
