I love this song so, it is one of my best so far, I love the different moods within it. the fast parts are my favorite, I came up with the riff in my head while driving at high speed in my black camaro at night through the winding roads where i grew up with "Cradle of Filth" blasting out my speakers. | This is a dark love song of sorts, something darkly romantic yet still has a nice heavy riff, for a while I was big on writing these type of songs with a more comercial feel. My mood often dictates what kind of songs I write so I guess i was in a romantic frame of mind when i wrote these songs. I have always been captivated by the Idea of eternal love, in the vampire sense. Two hearts together eternally in immortality, some may say it is too soft for this band but I strive to make Coffin for Mary a multi dimensional project able to appeal to all tastes of metal and rock. I wrote this song in 94 and finally recorded it in 2002. Originally called "Suicide machine" I later changed it beacuse there are just too many songs called that. We all have asuicide machine in our brain, its fueled by our addictions be it drugs, alcohol, sex, blood, money, or whatever. once its in control it can take us too high then drop us way too low.
This song is for melissa, my old friend and partner in madness. I hope you are happy and doing well, I miss you.

| This tells the story of a haunting I have expeirienced since I was a child, these spirits are always there whether they come from the darkest regions of my subconsience or some other place I dont know but everyone close to me feels or sees it, I wanted to write a song about them hence this song was born out of lots of contemplation and relection. I have always suffered from a intense depression all my life and whenever things are the darkest they always seem to show up and now they have their own song.
With no guitar in it, something I have not done much since 96 but it is still a very atmospheric peice. |

A harsh sonic landscape of dark desire and erotic desparation. It has lots of complex guitar work that is inspired by the stylings of such bands like "Emporer" and "Cradle of Filth".
