I currently reside in Montreal, and seek to move
in two directions musically - one, to get my
"nu-skool" breaks harder, and two, to begin to
explore non-breaks genres...
Of note, I have decided to use my real name from
now on, for personal as well as practical reasons.
I also do a live PA, where I mix-down the
component elements of my tracks using a
subtractive mixing technique (all parts playing
simultaneously, and I mute/filter/fade the ones
I don't want).
Why do I do what I do? Well, music is only the
second most important thing in my life... My
"day" job comes first. This is a hobby for me,
and not a career, so I am not making music to be
famous or rich. Essentially, I make the music
I love... I wanted to hear stuff that nobody
else was writing, so I figured I had to do it
myself.

Minimal beat at the intro, building up to a major breakdown... Intro has two basslines alternating after each other - but after the breakdown, the freaky stuff starts... Run for the hills, this bass is worth the wait!{ |

A Growing, super phased Bass gets gradually distorted - On the high end, a tight, band pass filtered guitar and percussion lick ad some wierdness to this "Nu Skool" tracke |

Syncopated, intermittent beat and bassline with panning hi-hats n' shakers at the intro. Choppy, Chunky, & Funky. After the breakdown, the "Slyde" starts... Smooth, sly, sneaky - the exact opposite of the intro and exit, but with a hard edge! Inspired by DJ Snyde, an old buddy from Winnipeg. |

I snapped the torsion spring on my Andromeda A6's pitch wheel writing this bad boy. It leads in with some reverberating percussive ambience, then with a simple bouncing bassline over a big beat. A second, more complex beat drops in with a kick roll, and a pitch sliding flanged/phased/filtered/frequency modulated "sound" dominates the mix. |

A thick rolling n' ugly bassline lays the foundation for this 136 bpm breaks track. Some tonal percussion, and a spaced out wah guitar deliver a surreal mood. Crazy filter envelopes on a secondary beat adds an edgy twist. This flavour of breaks is defenitely an acquired taste. |

Begins with a funky clav, then a low, thick bass over a spacious beat with congas. After the build, a disco sample twists in , and the track peaks with a house beat and a sharp, resonant bass. (NOTE: This version has been remastered, correcting some of the distortion problems encountered during the encoding of the original to mp3.) |

This 136 bpm breakbeat track leads in with some reverberating congas, and a thick low thumbed & slapped electric bass. The funky rhodes keys and wah guitar slick up this track, which builds into a bouncing groove. The final mix is filtered at the breakdown to give it a housier feel. |

A bubbling, liquid intro, and a bouncing break. not very jagged, until the acid line enters... There's some tonal percussion too. Kicks into a house beat for the peak of the track, and then back to the breaks...o |

A high pass filtered kick drum and low tonal percussion open this surprisingly mellow track. Thick, pitch sliding synth pads utilizing complex chords, and highly resonant strings contribute a very sombre character to the mix. The vocal sample (spoken word by me) says it all. Despite all this moody and introspective stuff, once the unfiltered kick starts, the beat is quite prominent and driving at 136 bpm. Check out the -9 remix too!t |

Negativ Nein kindly provided this remix. Housey, bouncy, deep, thick, and just as sombre as the original with a hell of a lot more depth than the original breaks version.M |

A rising synth line compliments a thick bass with a rythmic filter envelope. Towards the peak of the track, a novel progression makes itself heard. The beat has a slight shuffle groove. Shakers, Congas and a secondary beat loop with a quick gated compression make this spirited track roll n' bounce. |

A hard stuck cowbell accompanies the overdriven snare of this 136 bpm breakbeat track. The bass is low pass filtered, and uses a complex, undulating amp and filter envelope, creating an otherworldly feel. The "Violence" part refers to the pads that come in after the break - swirling and full of motion. |

A good set ender for either Progressive trance or any kind of Breaks - 136 bpm. It's a nice progressive, mellow riff with some laid back sloppy drums, and then builds to a more enegertic beat and a dub style bassline. That, combined with some filtered synth elements on the top end give this track it's "atmoesfearick" feel. |

A deep, hollow pad adds an eerie quality to this otherwise uplifting 165 bpm Trancecore track. Has a sharp resonant bass, some harshly filtered synth appregiations, and even some panning pianos! |

The first track I wrote in the Trancecore genre... I later incorporated a resonant bass that carries the energy of the track. Two melodies play off each other (panned L and R) and follow the chord progression of this track. Despite being 165 bpm and melodic, it's got a dark side to it... |

Crazy panning acid riffs- Flanged, searing pads that melt- Unsynced appregiations with wild envelopes- Dropping resonant oscilations- Filtered breakbeats on top of the 4/4 kick- And a glockenspiel sounding thingy way off in the background... What more could you ask for in a 165 bpm Freeform track? |
