A Don Ross tune that Don's publishing company kindly gave me permission to stream on my web site. My interpretation is close to Don's, but on a slightly different tangent. |

A hauntingly beautiful Celtic-influenced instrumental that was written by David Essig many years ago. David was kind enough to permit me to feature my version on this web site. This particular version was professionally mastered. |

On the night of the blackout in August of 2003, I was out in the middle of a completely darkened neighbourhood, enough to see for the first time every single element of a gloriously beautiful starlit sky. The moon was peaking out from one horizon and a meteor shower was underway on another horizon. This is how it felt to be out on such a night. |

A reasonably faithful interpretation of one of Leo Kottke's earliest tunes. |

This song always reminds me of drifting down a river in a canoe out in the wilderness: peaceful, soothing and uplifting. |

Leo Kottke made the arrangements of this classic organ piece, and reset it to an open G tuning for 6-string guitar. This is my version of Leo's arrangement. |

Richard Gilewitz, an eclectic and wonderful fingerstyle guitarist, composed this piece. Leo Kottke covered the tune as "Echoing Gilewitz", but I think Richard's title gets across the true spirit of the tune. A great lullaby for young babies (and all us older folk as well). |

A few summers ago, after almost losing my Dad once again to cancer, I was spending a quiet and rainy Sunday afternoon at home. As I took up my guitar that day, I tried to capture some of the moments of what that summer had been and what had happened. A year later in June, Dad died. This song is
dedicated to him. |

Another reasonably faithful interpretation of an early Leo Kottke piece, and one of my favourites. |

This is a fine old finger-picking tune that John Fahey recorded a few times in the 50's and '60's. The recording here is based on one of the tune's earler incarnations. |

One of Bruce Cockburn's more recent instrumentals that I play on acoustic guitar. Bruce played it originally on Dobro. |

The song is an antidote to a difficult year a few years back: it helped drag me out of the quagmire. |
