	On the night of the blackout in August of 2003, I was out in the middle of a completely darkened neighbourhood, enough to see for the first time every single element of a gloriously beautiful starlit sky. The moon was peaking out from one horizon and a meteor shower was underway on another horizon. This is how it felt to be out on such a night.
