Alternative Rock Singer-Songwriter stuff. I used to hate the "singer-songwriter" label. Once I submitted a song to an LA producer and he responded "I don't need any of that sensitive singer-songwriter stuff. I was so offended. But then I realized, to my horror, that the epithet fit. After that, I wrote "Folk Song" with the chorus "I'm a god-damned sensitive singer songwriter poet." But hey, it's "alternative" ... so that makes it okay, right? A title that desperately needed a song to go with it. Medium-tempo acoustic-electric rock song punctuated with funky wah-wah guitar and synthnesized string ensemble. | MP3.com CD: Sanity Is A Thing Of The Past Copy 1 - buy it!

A rhymically languid, ethereal song with a mood reminiscent of "Nakweda Dream," my early-80's college radio hit with Zru Vogue. Late one night, I picked up my guitar and just started playing this song. Luckily, I captured that spontaneous composition on tape, so I was able to listen back later to work out what I had played. It's a song that pays homage to life's mysteries, with two verses that seem to reflect each other (if you listen to the lyrics). | MP3.com CD: Sanity Is A Thing Of The Past Copy 1 - buy it!
