| This is a song I wrote when I found out that my High School in Germany has been having reunions. Nurnberg American High School is where I am from. The people, the place was my home. Ihope this song expresses some of the feeling I have for those times that I will never forget. |

I told my mom that our school looked like a big square, but over the next three years that square became like a home to me. The people I met there became like my family. Even today there is a strong bond that I have with alot of people from that school.

| I wrote this song in 1978 after listening to a man telling me about his problems. I had went to the NCO club in Furth to listen to a battle of the bands concert. All I said was "how are you doing?" And this one G.I. proceeded to tell me his life's story. I went home and wrote this song.
Today I find it odd that I wrote a song entitled "Happy Hour" at age 16. |

| This is a song about peace.
I returned to the United States of America in June of 1979. Going from Nurnberg West Germany to a small town in Alabama was a bit of a culture shock for me. I soon found out I didn't fit on any side of the tracks, and better yet I didn't try. In Germany we were all free to be who we wanted to be. In America it seem everyone had this pre-conceived guideline of how people are supposed to act. Well people tripped out the first time they heard me sang the Eagles "New kid in town" or Elton John's "Your Song".
I wrote this song for all those people who still don't get it. It's so much easier to love, then hate. It's so much easier to hug someone then hit someone. Because in the end this world will only make it with love. |
