Reviews of Thistupidream (CD available at www.besongs.com):

"Fucking brilliant - I can't say enough good about this record - Intelligent, passionate, literate, inventive, catchy, rockin' - pick a desirable adjective, you've got it here. BE lights the way for a millennial rock renaissance. I will follow!" - Jim Santo's Demo Universe

"Easily one of the better albums to come out of indie music this year." - Privy Magazine

"Melodic, poppy, but loud, BE's Thistupidream is an emo-esque warm pop record, with lush, soothing songs surrounding guitar-driven bursts of energy - beautifully crafted, well-executed simmering pop." - In Music We Trust

"Power pop with a moody side - BE knows how to craft some seriously intense songs. Craft, however, is just the beginning. There is an emotional intensity that is just as impressive." - Aiding and Abetting Zine

"Similar to the best of Radiohead and R.E.M. - Modern rock like this is simply beautiful - Thistupidream is introspective, worldly, modest and bold and fittingly deserves everyone's attention." - Music-Reviewer.com

"A damn fine album - BE have crafted an interesting, diverse and intelligent record that is nonetheless bursting with potential hits - a worthwhile effort from a versatile, talented band." - Splendid Magazine

"Thistupidream is an album teetering on perfection. Its ten tracks threaten to transform themselves into a musical epic at nearly every turn - this is a very daring album, one filled with all sorts of surprises - Everyone who's a fan of brilliant pop music should find a lot to enjoy here." - PopMatters

"'The Corporal's Daughter' draws light to the band's vivid harmonies, which bounce through layers of chord progressions and airy moments that tingle at times and jingle at others." - New Times Broward-Palm Beach "The band pushes the volume but never loses its subtle textures that paint the elegant, melodious portraits laid out by lines like 'I read about her in a book she wrote me / The corporal's daughter has a way with words / I dream about her in a way she taught me / The corporal's daughter has me dreaming.' Such slightly surreal lyrics help push BE's envelope and allow the band to stretch creatively without ever nose-diving into the pretentiousness that some over-achieving indie bands often find themselves in." - PopMatters

St. Paul, the tireless re-mix guru, took a stab at rearranging this very linear song and whaddya know? He looped it, he looped it. A fresh look at how this song might have turned out if we'd actually repeated ourselves occasionally. Very cool.
