The name Ingermanland is bound
to the history as one of the most tragic shipwreck that
has taken place along the Norwegian coast. This tragic incident took place
for over hundred and fifty
years ago. Ingermanland was built in Arkhangelsk, and June 6. 1842
the ship was finished. Two months
later - assigned to the Baltic Fleet, the ship was sailing from
Arkhangelsk to Kronstad. Ingermanland was a tremendous ship with 3 deck,
armed with 74 canons, the ship
should be impossible to sink. The ships captain was the 45 year old commander

| This a long and complex song. It is inspired by oriental mythology. This is the story of a mortal God and his wife in search for immortality and their meeting with «Queen Mother», who modern tales have portrayed as a majestic and an unreasonable woman. But in ancient books and stories, she appears as an intriguing beauty and remains forever in the first flush of youth due to her discovery of the elixir of immortality. Historical annals record that the Queen Mother of the West appeared as a virtuous, compassionate and ageless beauty. The vocal parts are arranged to fit to the characters that are involved in the story. Here you will hear «Queen Mother» sing along with the other gods in their quest for immortality. It begins calm and ends up in a messy hell of hatred, despite and BETRAYAL.... |

| A song about how the world was created in the old «northern mythology» point of view. This is a very progressive and heavy song with some quite interesting guitar parts. Check out the opening riff and get blown away. The vocal parts are very varied, and goes from dark to power harmonies and beyond. This is part 2 of 2 songs. Notice the great double-bass-drum and bass fills through this song. |

| This song was ment as a joke but became much more. This was OUR statement on how DEATH METAL should sound like!! It has 3 different types of vocal forms, It is fast as hell and has a rather interesting «tambourine» part in the middle of the song (he-he). As this is one of the most discussed part on our «Surface As Ceiling» cd please feel free to give some feedback to us or to the mp3.com «metal» messageboard. |
