This a long and complex song. It is inspired by oriental mythology. This is the story of a mortal God and his wife in search for immortality and their meeting with «Queen Mother», who modern tales have portrayed as a majestic and an unreasonable woman. But in ancient books and stories, she appears as an intriguing beauty and remains forever in the first flush of youth due to her discovery of the elixir of immortality. Historical annals record that the Queen Mother of the West appeared as a virtuous, compassionate and ageless beauty. The vocal parts are arranged to fit to the characters that are involved in the story. Here you will hear «Queen Mother» sing along with the other gods in their quest for immortality. It begins calm and ends up in a messy hell of hatred, despite and BETRAYAL....

    Lyrics
    BETRAYAL
    =================
    Taste of the myths
More then one third of the world believes
    Ancient land that covers
Highest mountain - barren desert and tropic forest
An urge to provide an explanation

With this task - great skills and bravery
One fearsome beast - at least there was peace
With this task - great skills and bravery
One fearsome beast - at least there was peace

    A terrible fate
Sounds of praise still ringing his ear
    No solace in their way
Mulled over their sorry state endlessly

«Now we have been sent, to live in the world of mankind
And one day like them we will die and have to decent to the underworld
Our only hope is to go to Queen Mother of the west
Who lives in Mount Kulun, and obtain the elixir of immortality from her».

    After many travails
    He at least entered
    The presence of Queen Mother
After riddles of mouth he obtained the box of eternal life

Queen Mother: «This box contains enough elixir to give eternal life for you and your wife,
although you will still have to remain in the world of men
To obtain complete immortality, you will need to take twice the shot, GUARD THE BOX WELL, for all I have is obtained therein»

He returned with the precious box, waiting for a suitably auspicious day he and his wife could take the drug together....
To obtain THEIR gift of eternal life

«Why shear? I could take the whole amount, and restore my status of goddess»
She took the elixir, her feet rise from the floor, up and up she began to float
Out of the window and through the night air
«On second thought - I must not return straight to Heaven, The gods might criticise me for not shearing»

She resolved to go first to the mon that was shining overhead in clear starlit sky
Arriving the moon - a desolate place - empty of life
When she tried to move on, her powers had deserted her
Doomed to keep her lonely vigil - to the end of all time!

In the dust she crawled to hide her deepest sins - she told a lie
Behind the ribs where she was born, her cold blue eyes - her pride has died

    A terrible fate
Sounds of praise still ringing her ear
    No solace in her way
Mulled over her sorry state endlessly
