Musical Influences J.S.Bach

Artist History Art Malcom has had a successful career as a folk-singer-guitarist. Recently, he has returned to his classical upbringing (having played string bass from 7th grade on, he achieved 1st chair at the University of Wisconsin, 1967, studying under the great Gary Karr) and has begun an extensive compillation of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, as well as arranging pieces written by several other composers. Having hung up his bass several years ago, in favor of his 12-string guitar, Mr. Malcom has set his sights on bringing to the public, as a solo instrument, one that heretofore has been generally thought of as a background or rhythm guitar. Mr. Malcom is a proud member of ASCAP.
