Artist description
Brent's recordings cover a wide variety of styles. His work with the Rob Walker Quintet & Allegro Jazz Sextet is in the Hard Bop (Art Blakey, Horace Silver) tradition, while other recordings ("Invitation") are more representative of the Free Jazz movement. There are also recordings he has done that are influenced by the Cool school such as his most recent tribute to Paul Desmond ("The Sound of a Dry Martini"). |
