Artist History
Clark's musical journey began when his parents bought a coronet for him when he was in the 4th grade. His earliest musical influence was Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass. When in high school, Clark became interested in composing and taught himself to play the piano. Clark joined Storm, a local Wichita band, in 1973 as a trumpet player. He later assumed the duties of keyboard player as well. Storm achieved modest local success but disbanded in 1984 when the guitarist, Alan Banta, and Clark joined another local band The Fabulous Shitheads-Dance Show & Revue. The Fabulous Shitheads became a fixture on the Wichita scene playing to packed houses at The Coyote Club and The Aviator. The Shitheads have played the opening concert of the Wichita River Festival on numerous occasions. The Shitheads have opened for Sam & Dave and Blue Oyster Cult. Clark still plays with The Fabulous Shitheads but has become more interested in composition as a musical outlet. |

Press Reviews
The music here is a refreshing change. You get tired of hearing the same old stuff and Clark does a great job of giving us something new and different. (internet review)For Clara: A beautiful piece of music. Very moving. The composer's skills with coloring and shading the sound with dynamics and tone color are evident.
