Press Reviews Artist - “IF 6 WAS 9” - Song - “YOUR HEART” -- This 3 piece band kicks butt! From the moody guitar intro to - “Your Heart” - and into the song, I liked everything here a lot. A good powerful drum sound. They are not too loud for the ballad style of this song, but still powerful enough to make me “happy”. The chords and sections of the song are basic and certainly go together well. They are spiced up by the excellent guitar playing throughout and especially in the guitar solos. And yes, leave that little bit of feedback right where it is! I don’t know what it is about just a little feedback in a song, but it just gives me a feeling of something in a “cage” trying to get out but being kept under control. Just remember to let the beast out occasionally : ).The vocals are excellent with a cool use of just the right amount of echo. The vocal harmonies are subtle and just right for the song. The lyrics likewise are well written for the song and are delivered very well vocally. Nice job Ian and company. Love the guitarist’s playing! If you haven't seen them before 'If 6 was 9' are a 3 piece band who somehow manage to produce the sound of 5 !! - Last night they blew us away with their mix of Hendrix covers, and own compositions, without tripping the sound meter. The audience were getting carried along by the music with more than a few crazy dance routines in front of the speakers, but what the hell ! - It was good fun! - The lads have an excellent CD out at the moment which is available exclusively from mp3.com, have a listen to one of the tracks on our Downloads page and check out their web site from our links.Looking forward to seeing you again.
