Artist description Hi there. I’ve been playing guitar now for 39 years (!), slide being my speciality. I moved to Australia in 1975 from Canada and I’ve been here ever since. I lived in Sydney until recently, where I became one of that city’s busier session players, contributing to scores of Aussie album tracks, hundreds of TV and radio commercials and several movie/TV soundtracks. Some of the tracks here (with the night time shot of me) are from an album I did years ago called No Apostrophe. It went top 15 in certain cities of Australia, but was deleted from the catalogs. It was meticulously recorded by Michael Stavrou, an engineer who had just arrived in Australia from London, using the cream of the cream of Aussie players. I’m very proud of this collection of tracks and I’m very pleased to be able to put it up here for the world to have a listen to, and buy if I’m lucky. The other tunes (with the daytime shot of me) are recent additions to the page. They are home recordings of some of my songs done as instrumentals, with the slide guitar playing the melody line. They’re a little rough sound wise, (I’m no Michael Stavrou) but I will learn -- I’ve only just acquired my first straight to disc recording software. Feel free to download them. They’re short and to the point and free. My intention is to add one track per day, so visit often, or better yet, join the mail list (at my site) and I’ll let you know when there’s a new batch.
