Artist description Twenty-six year old Jan Jiracek is unquestionably one of the leading pianists of his generation. In 1997 he was a finalist in the Tenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, an event avidly followed by music lovers around the world. The previous year he had won the top prizes at both the Busoni and Maria Canals Competitions. Today, Jan is enjoying regular opportunities to perform before audiences in Europe, North America and occasionally other parts of the world. The music posted here was recorded live during the Van Cliburn and Busoni competition performances.
