    Artist description
The Canadian Brass manages to combine five exceptional soloists to one great ensemble; they mix Mozart and Wagner with Ellington and the Beatles; and they don't hesitate to have fun acting in a ballet or opera themselves just after performing Bach in a most serious way.-- This is true crossover.

    Artist History
The Canadian Brass is poised to celebrate their 30th anniversary in the 2000-2001 season. From the first concerts in Canada, the quintet set a new standard for brass performance. Three decades of recording and performing on major stages around the world have met with abundant acclaim and recognition of their outstanding musicianship. They continue to create new and diverse repertoire, and have become famous for their imaginative stage presentations. Another sign of their success is a new generation of brass players around the world who play their published music, emulating the CB style and performance panache.
