Artist description
We are a jazz band playing in the swing-oriented styles popular before 1950. We're made up of three instruments: keyboard, guitar and drums. Also, we have a bona fide female vocalist. This is not smooth jazz or background jazz. We can be loud and exciting, but also slow and romantic. The blues are another specialty. Mainly we play standards written before 1960, but we have a few originals in the book. Nothing we'd consider a "cover" though-no copies or reproductions. Just swinging music guaranteed to make you want to shake your ass. |

Artist History
We've been playing around the Ocean County area for the past four years. The Cool Beans Coffeehouse in Toms River is our home base as we play there once a month. We've also played dances, charity events, libraries, colleges, banquets, parties, anything requiring exciting jazz music (sorry, no disco, no rap, no electronic music, no Chicken Dance). We have one CD in the books. For more info, e-mail rrtrio@aol.com |
