Artist History Named after its lead singer and founder, Bryan McNutt, B Nutt Orchestra began in the spring of 1998. It was originally founded as a four-piece group that came together to play a local talent show in Malibu. Over the next year, the band dynamics changed, going through two guitarists, one bass player, and two drummers. Through much soul-searching, the band followed God's leading and soon expanded, adding a pianist, new bassist, lead guitarist, and percussionist, making up B Nutt Orchestra: Bryan McNutt (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Barbara Werner (piano, vocals, violin), Chris Bowman (guitar, vocals), Galen Gould (bass), and Troy Valente (drums). Setting aside time for the studio in December, the band recorded their first professional album, entitled "Without a Doubt," which was released January 15, 2000. B Nutt Orchestra began its career playing small, local gigs. As the band grew and matured, it began to seek out larger, more diverse venues. Through their development, ministry has remained their focal point. As McNutt shares, "Ministry is the heart of our songs; God uses the music to minister in ways that we could never imagine, and somehow it has a way of reaching people right where they are." The Orchestra is currently performing in the L.A. Area at prestigious venues such as B.B. King's Blues Club, Pepperdine University, and Calvary Chapel Cost Mesa. They are also planning a nationwide tour for the summer of 2000.
