	There are few instances that as soon as a song is written, the artist is aware that it is indeed something unique. “Fly” fits that description. This song was composed during B Nutt Orchestra’s ‘00 summer tour, and was written in response to a very challenging period. A month into the tour, the group found themselves in South Virginia with nothing but time on their hands and several canceled shows. I began to strum the first chords of this song not knowing where it would take me. In the end, the truth behind the music brought the band from extreme disappointment into renewed confidence.

	As I’ve made my way through 4 years of “higher” education, its been amazing to see how people believe that human knowledge is the final answer to so much, when actually, it blows me away how much we don’t know. I myself truly believe that the highest form of thought, understanding and wisdom rests with God alone. In my eyes, even the foolishness of God surpasses the greatest knowledge of man.
