pure emotion. Progressive Hardcore that shifts from quiet desperation to bombastic chaos as a matter of convention and an intensely personal and introspective lyrical approach reminiscent of metaphysical and neo-romantic poetry. |

Artist History
These High School friends formed Failsafe in 95 as a 3 piece of Jon, Dave, and, TJ.
At this time Jon and TJ shared vocal duties. Then in the fall of 96 Leo Ashline was brought in as second guitarist. By the fall of 1997, Leo switched from guitar to lead vocals allowing for even more chaos from Failsafe's live set.
After many great shows around Florida and a small East Coast tour in 1998, the band slowly began to fall apart as interests shifted and everyone began to start their own lives (i.e. Leo begins writing Science Fiction, Jon starts tinkering with synthesizers, TJ picks up the paint brush, and Dave becomes the last of the famous international drum whores). The final breakup point was in mid 1999 after trying to use keyboards and covering the Cure's "A Forest" one too many times.
The original trio of Dave, TJ, and Jon did rejoin to record some new material in the summer of 2001. This recording has still yet to be completed but it has not been forgotten and may still see the light of day. |

Press Reviews
"Failsafe! Possibly the most insane live hardcore band you will ever see perform. So full of energy and spontaneity that the show is a frenzy of bodies and instruments pounding out the music..." - DeadZine (1/1/1998) |
