Artist History
The result of a genetic experiment crossing the genes from jelly fish and bush babies was the eventual formation of a band called Violent Jazz. Most of the members have no real recolection of a past life, this is because they were born in small cuban villages and floated to the US in car tires. As for a history... look at our extensive categorization in the encyclopedia under ninja.
Most recently the Violent Jazz clan has coerced Zamora (a ninja in his own right) to handle the honors of keyboards and guitars because of the unfortunate deportation of Nick B., recording artist extraordinaire. Further investigation has produced questionably sexual photographs of Sorenson, the bassist for the international sensation "Dryfus", on stage with Violent Jazz... our inside sources state that he is indeed a coconspirator to the public displays of Deviance typical to a
Violent Jazz sighting. He just returned from an extended tour of Asia and Europe. Major Development!!! As of October 11 2003 Violent Jazz was instructed by clan elders to go into a long and restful sleep in order to heal battle wounds from recordings gone wrong and the indifference of a few men. G-Thrice is heading a scientific team that is attempting to bring the early to mid-seventies back to life. Sorenson has been seen farming organic mushrooms in the San Luis hillsides and driving past highschools and screaming: "I'm a friend of your parents! Get in the car! I have magic mushrooms... are you 18 yet?!". Johnny Guitar is seeing a psychiatrist to find his inner sonic youth. Zamora is doing the background music for
porn movies. But do not fear we retrieved this note from the Reverend Nero Sarcasi: "Do not fear my friends, the music will go on, this is just a bump in the road. For the time being
the project "Nero Rising" (Nero and Ruben Green) will be prepping a live show that incorporates video manipulation and electronic music that the Rev. has been preparing for the last 3 years. I will be here with my dreams as my priority, waiting for a chance encounter with some other musicians that want to do the same thing I do... make art with feeling and emotion that is as cleansing to perform as it is to listen to (or witness). You all have my word that I will never produce
happy background music, I have more respect for you all than to do that. Life is ending one moment at a time and I will be damned if those that don't like my art try to impeed my arts forward movement: F**k that!!!
Stay tuned Kids and Kats, I'm coming back soon with something brand new. - Rev.Nero" |
