Musical Influences
Our music is based on rhythms of the Middle East. We listen to village and folk performers as well as nightclub performers from throughout the Middle East. We also listen to Western and American performers of this genre. We combine these influences and the result is a genre called 'West Coast Tribal'! |

Artist History
The band was formed in October of 1994 to explore Middle Eastern rhythms and began performing with Sabah Dance Ensemble, providing an alternative to taped music. Sabah and the Scabland Band perform around the State of Washington each summer and have been well received by the belly dance community as well as the general public. |
