"An absolutely spiffing curry of folk, pop, rock and a subtle touch of
electronica, mild and creamy yet rich and brown, rather like a Bhuna."
-Steve Hall (Steve has done session work with the likes of Jimmy Witherspoon,
Robert Cray, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Alan Price, Ray Charles & B.B.
King)

Here is what Lynn Carey Saylor said about his work (Lynn is a singer/songwriter
who has worked with Brian May of Queen on a song called "If We Believe"):
"I have listened to a few of the tunes and I must say I was impressed. Without
the benefit of expensive recording equipment, you have done a great job! I love
the quality of your voice - very laid back and cool, with a certain appealing
"swagger" to it and there is some really solid songwriting skills you display as
well."

From E-Zine "Waterbaby"(http://www.freewebs.com/waterbaby/):
I bought Norah Jones' CD while in New York recently. If you like Billie Holiday
with a touch of Anne Murray, and very 'kickin jazz-piano arrangements, she's
your gal.
Check out Daniel Iorio. His tone ranges from U2 to Bryan Adams to the Beatles.
This is way cool stuff. He claims most of it is recorded on his home PC with a
$9 microphone; but let this not deter you. Look out for this guy's solo album -
he's gonna make it big one of these days.
Just to encourage you, John Mayer (or, as we affectionately call him,
"Mayonnaise") also has a page built on MP3.com with quite a few live selections.
Hint: also look up Studio 737. "George's Blues" is actually John pretending to
be Sting. :)

"'Nothing ventured, nothing gained' opens with keyboards that remind me of Terry
Riley's 'Rainbow in Curved Air' period and then in comes the percussion:
Bubbling bongoes introduce the voice which is strong and decidely Merseybeat at
its height in the vocal delivery...think Beatles as the backing harmonies add to
the effect. Very much like the Fab 4's 'Sergeant Pepper' period with a nice
psyche feel. Rock out guitar music drives it along and some classy touches add
to the production. Billed as a "rough home session" I would say this sounds like
well-crafted and produced studio quality and I wouldn't have known this was a
DIY recording unless I read the blurb! Most impressive indeed and I am picturing
what Daniel could achieve in a top studio - think a singer/songwriter borrowing
from the Beatles but with a modern sound and certainly professional enough for
Abbey Road!"
-Welsh poet/author/e-zine editor/singer/songwriter Steve Andrews(aka Bard of
Ely)

"Pink Floyd meets Nine Inch Nails at John Lennon's cocktail party". You be the
judge."

"The daily surfing mp3.com for new music and quality songwriting isn't always a
fruitful one, and on a day when everything is wrong right, you discover an
artist like Daniel Iorio. Refreshing, thoughtful, musical, museful..."

Hey,
You hold the tension in the palm of your hands.
This is compelling and heartfelt lyrical and vocal reminiscent of the classic Bowie....
