Artist description Brent Buckley is a Northern Virginia-based composer who writes in a wide array of styles. He is currently seeking a publishing deal for his writing output, and produces demos in his home studio on which he plays all the instruments. He is married and lives with his lovely wife and children in Manassas,VA., and manages a music store for a large national chain. Brent produces demos for himself and other local artists, and also offers music transcription services and guitar instruction.

Musical Influences Everything I hear influences my writing in one way or another. I like to work in different styles while still keeping my stamp on the tune. Artists i'm a huge fan of would include guitarists Leslie West (Mountain), Steve Howe (Yes), Adrian Belew /Robert Fripp (King Crimson) and Allan Holdsworth (Soft Machine, U.K., Tony Williams Lifetime). Artist History Brent has been a musician since age nine. He played all the instruments on an album by a popular Baltimore singer at age 14, sparking his interest in recording. In his twenties he was a member of the legendary Baltimore progressive rock band Surge, writing all the band's original material. Brent has composed and recorded music for a number of commercial clients like GEICO and Airline Tariff Publishing. Recently he concluded a stint with classic rockers Badda Bing Badda Boom, and has performed as a soloist at many local venues like Okras and Carmello's. Brent recently produced demos for rapper Mardale and new-age pianist Edgar Velasquez.
