    Artist History
Born in Napa, California Gail's experience as a singer began at an early age participating in various choirs through high school. With pop/rock band Tranz, she sang lead and background vocals as well as co-writing most of the songs, catching the attention of LA's independent label Beat Records. A single was issued, garnering local airplay. More recording and another release followed, this time singing with Room With A View. The band's local EP featured jazz great Jessica Williams on piano and sold out as they gained a following performing primarily in Northern California. Gail shared her Kirsty MacColl/Aimee Mann-esque vocal talents with singer/songwriter Caron Vikre through 1996, also making contributions to Vikre as a vocal arranger. Added to George's singing profile are various recording sessions that include working with Elektra's Brent Bourgeois (Bourgeois Tagg), Anton Barbeau and producer/guitarist David Houston (Tony! Toni! Tone!). In March 2001, Gail recorded her self-penned Fool's Paradise, finding a home on the popular International Pop Overthrow - Volume 4 compilation. Continuing her string of releases, George's wonderful rendition of legend Gene Pitney's Mr. Moon, Mr. Cupid And I became a standout and critically acclaimed track on a CD (He's A Rebel: The Gene Pitney Story Retold) that included songs from Gordon Waller (Peter & Gordon) and Al Kooper. Currently living in Los Angeles, Ms. George has recently recorded five of her own compositions and hopes to complete a project that will eventually become her first release as a solo artist. She plans to expand her songwriting craft and looks forward to collaborating with other artists and musicians.
