Artist History Sonnyboy was Founded in 1993 by Shel Riser, a song writer and multi instrumentalist from Minnaepolis, who gaind his roots in writing and producing his oen music in the gospel/R$B tradition. Shel Riser has wretten,composed,arranged and produced for Sonnyboy among other artists. After paying his dues playing and touring bands from the Prince circle and artists from the Parliament Funkadelic Family, he became the leading force behind Sonnyboy, which developed in Minneapolis,MN's music scene and touring throughout the U.S. In 1996 the band relocated to New York, from where thay have since operated, taking all or parts of the band to Indonsia, Canada and Europe. Sonnyboy has released three CD's independently, Afro Soul 1995, Love Child 1998 and the new "UrbanMisFit" 2002.1
