Artist description "Aging" rockers reliving their youth. These 2 brothers fronted a popular rock band in Peoria, IL in the late 60's. It was an unusually talent rich city as competing bands included the likes of Dan Fogelberg, Gary Richrath (of REO Speedwagon), and Danny Beard (of the 5th Dimension). Bob and Marty's band flirted with success when they were signed by Audio Fidelity Records. Their cover of the Hollies "Charlie and Fred" was never released and eventually the band broke up. During the early 70's, Marty and Bob carved a niche in the growing Christian rock movement of the time. As we fast forward to the new century, Marty is a recognized Dead Sea Scrolls Scholar teaching at a university in British Columbia. Bob serves in a church in the Dallas area. Once a year they revive the old days and record together. Many of these songs are the outcome of those sessions.
