Press Reviews
The "Tryin' To Make A Buck" CD is filled with more than half a dozern original contrapuntal compositions. The CD incorporates real-life adventures, tensions, quandries, tempos, anxieties, and celebrations of life. It's an eclectic mix of music. The title song, "Tryin' To Make A Buck",which focuses on the daily stress of everyday living, carries an upbeat tempo. "The Mighty Red River," a piece that was written based on the 1997 Midwest flooding, is "full of hope;" "Up North" describes the freedom of escaping the tensions of everyday life in the city with a weekend retreat to the cabin. Newmann produced, wrote all the music and lyrics, performed on guitar, vocals, steel guitar, fiddle, Five-string banjo and dobro. "Tryin To Make A Buck" is one original piece of recorded entertainment and the targeted audience is as eclectic as the music. "Tryin' To Make A Buck" is for everybody. There's something for young folks, adults, lovers.....there's something for everyone. |
