Artist History del-gato,the northside gypsy,or 14,it's all the same.born in a family of 5 brothers, 2 sisters growing up in a 2 bedroom house with an attic used as bed room ain't easy.it's even harder when your income is welfare.del-gato started writting lyrics at 10 years old. also at 10 he started a pop band with life long friend adam fann a.k.a (drac tha madd scientist)the band fell apart when drac joined the navy. at 14 he earned the name del-gato in spanish class.classmates said he was "sneeky quiet and strange" del-gato is not hispanic as the name suggests his bloodline is native amrican suix-indian and europian. also at that time he decided to make music his life.most of his music is digital,however he can play piano,trumpet,drums,violin,organ and some guitar.in 1994 he released his first album "out tha dark"on the local columbus hot spots. then after a 4 year reclusive period released "eccentric hybrid" considered by critics to be a "healthy dose of reality"-adam garret columbus alive. universal records new york, a-n-r dept said "original, very well done". still an unsigned time bomb del-gato will soon release cafe hell. an album featuring members of c.o. soldiers. always the compulsive perfcetionist he wrote over 50 songs then finaly settled on the current 14 blazin' tracks. although he dosen't consider himself "gangsta" or "thug" he's real enough and ruff enough kick it with the best of them.he may be shooting a video summer/fall 2002 at cedar point amusement park. directed by who else? del-gato.keep watching mtv!
