Artist History Lisa was born on May, 5th, 1977, in Columbus, Ohio. Lisa has already wrote 190 songs! She started writing song lyrics at age 12. She has won several poetry contests. She has won & lost several contests in her lifetime so far. Example: Won! Her High School Talent Contest in Delaware, OH at Buckeye Valley H.S. Lost. :( The WNCI "Diva" contest. Lisa is not ashamed of her losses. She feels that they help her build immunity to not everyone accepting or liking you, because not everybody likes the same music. Her losses also make her stronger & more motivated to reach even further for her dream. You may read some of her poetry at www.Poetry.com. Lisa's words of advice for every other artist: "Just because someone may not like your style of music, does not make you "Bad" or "Non-talented". That is the reason we have different music categories. To fulfill all the different tastes & styles out there. One persons opinion does not equal them all." Lisa has been singing for as long as she could talk. Singing is her first Love. then, writing, then along came the Guitar! Lisa bought her first guitar 7 years ago & has not stopped learning since. She taught herself everything she knows. With only the help of a couple of "Teach yourself Guitar books", to guide her. Lisa was in her first band at age 18. The next & final band was "Secondwind". Lisa left that band to pursue her solo career as a Singer/Songwriter/guitarist. Currently Lisa is working on her "Natural High" CD project with Workbook Studio in Columbus, OH. This CD is not expected to be completed for at least a full year. Until then, Lisa will continue playing shows at Bars & Coffee Shops in and outside of Columbus, Ohio. Lisa say's "It would be nice to be all Rich & Famous, but that's not what drives me to do what I do. To me that would just be an added bonus for doing what I love. It's the audience appreciation & self therapy that music provides for me that makes it all worth while. Without music I truly feel that life would not be the same. Music is in my bloodstream. I was born with it & nothing or no one will stop me from doing it." This is a quote that Lisa thought said alot with few words. "Small opportunities are often the beginning of great achievements." Get out of it what you want. Lisa has a style all her own. It was created by her unique life experiences of, pain, love, gain, loss, and just plain Honest living. If you get to make it to one of Lisa's shows & you know real/raw talent when you hear it, I am sure that you will agree. Lisa ROCKS!!!
