Artist History
ok, way back in march of 01, jeff and dave saw the gods of Catch 22 at birch hill and one said to the other "dude i wanna start a ska band" to which the other replied "duuuude, ok." so jeff and dave decided that jeff would sing and play rythym gutar, dave would play lead guitar, and they recruited some friends to play drums, bass, sax, and trumpet. jeff and dave decided on the name "tom doesn't matter" aka TDM, and still to this day argue over who came up with it. well anyways, TDM was doomed from the beginning, mainly because DRB. we had only a few practices, most of which were interruped by cinnastix because they rule. the trumpet player never showed up because he's deeply whipped, the bass player never showed up and eventually quit because his girlfriend at the time twisted him in insane sexual positions causing pinched nervage in his shoulder or something. so it was the drummer, the sax player, dave and jeff. well august came and the drummer and sax player went off to college, leaving dave and jeff. did i mention DRB? well, DRB. so that left jeff and dave, who enjoyed playing together and would often get together and jam acoustically. dave was in another band, but jeff really wanted to start a band. jeff was like, alright, we play stuff on guitar and stuff, so lets just record stuff on my computer and see what happened. and dave said ok, so they sorta kinda had a bandish thing. they saw Catch again in december 01, and they both love mingus (bass player in Catch) and after the show everybody was trying to shake his hand and he goes "touch me" and a few nites after the show jeff realized woah thats a cool name, touch mingus, and so there you have it TM was born. and oh yea we recorded some stuff on jeff's computer and hope we don't suck too much. wow that was long. JUNE 20, 2002, DUCT TAPE THEORY EP RELEASED. umm, sometime during summer 2002, dave anderson was added to the band in the roll of masterbasster. |
