Artist description
CT Apple has performed jazz and rock and currently performs with a traditionally based jazz group which plays many of the same tunes found on this album in addition to a variety of Latin jazz. CT has had experience in all types of music -- from jazz to pop -- and has brought that experience to this album. Recorded at The Living Vibe Studio in London, "The Road" is a tribute to CT's father who passed away in 1999. This album retraces the songs his dad performed during his life as a club performer in the United States. CT's ultimate goal was to pay homage to the classic tunes without sacrificing the elements that make them great while still maintaining a strong contemporary future-funk vibe.
That the tunes of yestertear aren't dead. They live on and will be recorded and rerecorded until the end of time. He want's his listeners to know that this is the way older music should be treated -- recycled so that ALL audiences appreciate the qualities of any given song.

Artist History
I have a real love for Tony Bennett, Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra. I love their originality and versitility. It's their music and the music of his father that really inspired him to record "...the road."
I also like and respect the old standards like "Fly Me to the Moon" and has been singing various versions of this music for 20 years. "...the road" takes these tunes and adds a wicked portion of drum n bass, wild arrangements and occasional hip hop beats to the mix to make it more for my generation -- without sacrificing the qualities of the originals that made them great. Remember: Music never dies, it just gets remixed...and remixed...and remixed...!

He has treated the classics with the utmost of care while not taking out what made them great in the first place. SB
