Artist History
Larry grew up in the rural mill village of Saxapahaw, North Carolina. He started writing funny songs and telling jokes at a young age – a practice that more often than not resulted in a trip to the principal’s office. He began performing at open mics while enrolled in the University of North Carolina.
Things took off when legendary radio host Dr. Demento started playing Larry’s debut EP, “Pack Full of Comedy” in 1998. Larry followed up with “Everybody’s Crazy But Me!!!” in 2000, an album showcasing his diverse musical tastes. Thanks to exposure on morning radio shows, a strong Internet presence and opening spots on the “Weird Al” Yankovic tour, Larry’s fan club grew to include members from over 10 countries.
Along the way, Larry also became renown as the World’s leading expert on paranormal activity in mobile homes thanks to his tounge-in-check website, TrailerGhost.com. Larry’s third album, “Looking for Fun” (Fall 2001) features the song “Ghost in the Trailer” along with 13 other original songs and commercial parodies.
