Press Reviews The Black Torment self titled album is so fucking dark. If you ever heard abruptum and beherit, and felt the evil and hate in those albums, then you have to pick this one up, slow drums with far vocals, dark synth's here and there, very slow guitars with distortion, hell stomping basslines.. pure black ambient this release is a lot different from 'when the dark emperor returns, or the demo's. Not as raw and fast and has lots of atmosphere added.. if you want to hear some real dark music then get this album. It has very very cold riffs with distorted vocals and fast drumming! From what I can hear on the lyrics, they are very sick and hateful. If you like darkthrone's translvanain hunger album, you will love this especially track 09. --- www.deathoftriumph.org - 1999. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I got this album for free because someone E-mailed me last week and asked me if I would like a copy of their CD, that person was angzerhornbroals of black torment. I said hell yeah I want a copy of it so he sent me one and as soon as I put it in I really liked the first song Angel Of A Suffering Death. The song is pretty simple with only 2 riffs but it has a lot of atmosphere and a really good bass line in the middle of the song, the 2nd track was totaly different and faster which reminded me of being in a cold dark forest or something...it had really powerful vocals with fast anti-medolic riffs. IM not going to get into all 9 songs on the CD but overall its a good album. --- Tom Levy - 2000 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pretty good demo by angzerhornbroals, i think it was recorded in 1998 and he started giving it out in late 1998 or early 1999 its not too good of quality but if you turn your speakers up you can hear it pretty well, the drumming isn't all that good either but the guitar riffs are pretty fucking good also has some cool bass solos. --- http://www.angelfire.com/oh/darkwinghorde/reviews.html - 2000 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This self-titled album by black torment is not like the others, its pure black ambient. I think it mainly focuses on war and Satanism.
