Artist description
Comic book and sci-fi loving geeks with a verging-on-unholy need to kick out ludicrously fast 3 and 4 chord songs reveling in the dysfunctionality of human interaction. And stuff.Melodic-yet-cartoon vocals a la: Dickies, Dead Kennedys, Buzzcocks, etc. Not for jocks. Or Hippies. |

Musical Influences
Everyone in the "similar artists" category, obviously. But we've also been influenced by a lot of stuff from the late 50's/early 60's and some power-pop stuff as well. I guess I would have to say that the biggest influence on the band is junk-pop/B-movie culture in any form, as long as it rocks. |

Similar Artists
Groovie Ghoulies, Dickies, Vindictives, The Automatics, Screeching Weasel, Dead Kennedys, Adicts, Toy Dolls, The Queers, Misfits, etc. (not much at all like NOFX, Blink 182, or MxPx) |

Artist History
Formed in '95 by Scott and Dylan, young master Pat took over the bass duties vacated by Joel in early '97. Mocking hippies ever since. |

Press Reviews
"Awesome, fast punk with lots of style & charisma"- Maximum Rock'n'Roll"...manic paced punk rock with a raw garagey edge. It rules for a number of reasons: it's fast and energetic, they cover a great Cars song (Best Friend's Girl), and every bad little boy like me used to have a wristrocket."-10 Things Jesus Wants You To Know."Eugene, Oregon's WRISTROCKETS return with their second compact disc, the enjoyably primitive DOUBLE VODKA COLLINS. These three-chord wildcats from the Pacific Northwest avoid the slick, smooth, generic polish that often castrates "melodic" punk bands in the studio. This is not wimpy melodicore posing as punk...this is amateurish, spirited, manic, thrashy punk rock with tinges of pop and a brisk, reckless energy! DOUBLE VODKA COLLINS kicks out 14 songs in 24 minutes, as Scott Radke and co. just wind it up and let it fly! Recorded nearly two years ago, this CD is chock full of a young punk band's rough edges."-Now Wave Magazine |
