If you were to take her wide range of influences and roll them all into one, you would have the dynamic "Gigi DeNisco". Her music is heartfelt Rock, with a southern edge, pop oriented, with excellent melodic structure and catchy lyrics. Gigi is a true artist, meaning,that she eats, breaths and sleeps music, and she has an extream insight for writen material, infact she is so ahead of her time, that she has missed the industry's timing by being ahead of them and being over-looked, due to their insecurity and lack of insight. Artist History Being brought up with an older sister/music fanatic and worst critic, forcing what she called, real music, on Gigi at a very young age. Gigi began learning how to play guitar from Shelly's boyfriend at the age of seven, he saw a natural learning ability and increditable talent in Gigi. This is why she is ahead of her time! "Thank you Shelly!" Gigi's influences came from the records that Shelly made her listen to and an english teacher, who used famous artist's lyrics to teach a class with. Wow, no wonder Gigi is ahead of her time, with before her time knowledge. After all of that, Gigi has grown into her own individuality, creating tunes that have earned an extensive fan base, won Billboard Songwriter Awards, added to over 60 college and AAA radio stations, opened for many Nationals, including, Bozz Scaggs, Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Steely Dan, Albert King, Starship, Vanilla Fudge and Keith Urban to name a few. Now after releasing her second album and recieving royalty checks, I think we can say, that Gigi DeNisco is on her way.
