Artist History
Rival Power was created in 1998 by the original
members, Taylor and Darren. At that time, Darren
only new keyboard, but decided to learn Bass.
Using his, at the time, basic knolledge of the
guitar, Taylor showed Darren the string and fret
outline for the Bass. From there, Darren picked
up the rest on his own.
Regarding Bass and Guitar, Darren and Taylor are
self-taught musicians.
Mike came into the picture in the summer of 2001
when Darren and Taylor decided to record for the
first time. That was the first time the music had
added percussion, and it finally sounded great!
In 2002, Jesse entered the loop, and the music
finally gained vocals! We are Rival Power! |
