Artist description
A winner of the Arlington Symphony Orchestra Competition in 2000, Ian Lindsey has captured the imagination of the public and critics alike for his authoritative performances of the music of Liszt. Born into a musical family and now at the outset of his career, he began formal piano studies at age fourteen with Carol Heinick. He performs regularly throughout New England and the American northeast, most recently on the visiting artist series of Potsdam College. A graduate of both the Walnut Hill School of the Performing Arts and the New England Conservatory, Mr. Lindsey is currently pursuing a Masters degree at NEC under the tutelage of Randal Hodgkinson. He is also active as a teacher in Boston.
