HCP Allstars Vol. 1: Drum and Bass
********************************************************************************
Hardcore Promo is an online music promotion collective. They represent a wide variety of artists by helping them promote themselves both on and off the Internet.
HCP Allstars Vol. 1: Drum and Bass is a collection of Drum and Bass tracks. It spans a wide varity of deep bass styles from Ambient to Jungle to Ball2daWall. 11 tracks by member of the HCP roster.
This is a CD that you don't have to be a BassHead to enjoy. Everyone that enjoys beat oriented tracks will like this CD.
Highpoints are tracks by Ooz, Hoook, DJ Cracka, Solar Sound Productions, DJ Filth, and the SLAMMIN' dirty beats of Fields ov Gravity. But there are no 'low' points to this CD.
HCP Allstars Vol. 1: Drum and Bass is a must have for anyone into Drum and Bass and it's various offshoots. This isn't rehashed ol' stuff you've heard by a dozen different artists. This is the fresh stuff. It's availabe only online through MP3.com (of all places).

Agress (Regress Mix):

This is definately an Experimental track that flirts with the lines of
Gabber, Techno, and a little of everything else. Although a newer artist,
Azrael is already beginning to explore places that most artists refuse to
go. They show no fear and try something new, which is always good. A few of
the harder beats are kinda choppy when they switch over and break plus your
higher effect changes definately don't bleed together at all. Now for an
Experimental track this is great, if you are going for just a Electronica
label I think you have all the componets for it, but the BPM's are too fast.
I perticularly like the vocal clip...very nice. I think this is a great
Experimental track! 7.5/10 Reviewed by Prototype of Forced Police Action.

Lonely (Party Upstairs Mix):

Once again, a different feel coming in from Azrael's world, as evident with
this song. As the song describes, there are some very "lonely" sounding
effects in here, along with the crickets we can feel lonely ourselves....I
love it when you "feel" what the artist is trying to portray in thier music.
The only thing I think can use some work is to scale back the high synth
BPM's, I think they are a bit too fast for the rest of the song. Good job
and can't wait to hear a longer mix of this song. 8/10
