    Artist History
Lori began performing in Washington, D.C. clubs in her late teens. She began writing songs in the '70s with Manny Sanjiau, and their band, Cat's Cradle, played the clubs of D.C. Stopped in her tracks for almost two decades by undiagnosed dermatomyositis and myasthenia gravis, two rare neuromuscular diseases, Lori took a break from music to work as a court reporter and to be a wife and mom. It seemed her days of singing and performing were but a beautiful memory. Lori returned to the studio in 1998 during a wonderful remission. With the help of talented Friends Along the Way, she recorded "Elijah Prayed," a primarily Christian folk CD, recording songs that had "come" to her during severe weakness of her breathing muscles. These songs bring a sense of peace and comfort to everyone who hears them.
